OUR PROCESS

Phase 1: Plan

The art of producing great books starts with a big idea. In the planning phase, we guide you through a disciplined process of taking your idea and turning it into a fully fleshed-out synopsis and plan to finish it. Whether you want to sell your book to a publisher or need a more detailed outline to guide you in the process, it all starts with a blueprint

Phase 3: Edit

In this phase, we take your manuscript through two high-level, developmental editing passes, then two more copy edits—a process that ends in a professionally edited work. Editing isn't just about making your words prettier. It's also about making your message work.

Phase 2: Write

The process of writing a book is more like building a house than painting the Mona Lisa. It takes time, effort, focus, and follow-through. In the building phase, we get the basic blocks of your idea into the right places, resulting in a working draft that can then be edited. All good writing is rewriting, but first we must begin with a draft. This phase includes book coaching, ghostwriting, and collaboration.

Phase 4: Publish

Whether you plan on self publishing or working with one of the Big Five publishers, this phase is where we help you bring your project to the finish line and put it out in the world. Connecting you to a team of professional designers and publishers, we will guide you in the process of finishing your book and bringing it to market.
